If the mark does not belong to that range, the oral examination is optional and the student can choose to take the oral examination or to get the mark received from the written examination. Please check the web-page of every course to have more information about the oral examination. Moreover, let us remember you that the mark is valid until the date of begininnig of the same course in the next academic year, if it is not differently specified.

"PROJECT" EXAM

PROJECT + "QUESTIONNAIRE" (1). The project regards a topic explained during the course. More in detail, it consists of the development of software and/or hardware. The questionnaire is usually the same date of the written examination, but it can be arranged if at least 5 students make a different request. If urgent and compatibly with the teacher availability, the date of the exam could be set even if less than 5 students ask to fix it.

Optional Courses (Bachelor Degree - BD - and Master Degree - MD)

"QUESTIONNAIRE" EXAM

This modality consists in a list of questions regarding the main topics explained during the course. The questionnaire is organized following the guidelines reported on the web page of the corresponding optional course. The list is composed by a set of NxM questions selected by the teaching staff (N thematic groups each composed by M questions). The date of the questionnaire examination could be arranged when at least 5 students make a request or at a fixed date. Notes and bookes are not allowed during the examination.

OR

"CHECK" EXAM

PROJECT + QUESTIONNAIRE(1). The project regards the analysis of a state-of-art methodology related with the topics explained during the course. The analysis simply considers the running of a software and the discussion of the obtained results. The date of the questionnaire examination could be arranged when at least 5 students make a request or at a fixed date.

OR

"PROJECT" EXAM

PROJECT extendable to INTERNSHIP (BD) or THESIS (MD). The project activity regards one of the topic explained during the course, it contains innovative elements for technological transfer and it generally consists into the development of a software and/or hardware, as well as prototypical systems. The project activity can be extended into an INTERSHIP or THESIS only if the student ask it specifically before to start the project. However, the student can request an INTERNSHIP or a THESIS even if the student did not choose the project activity or did not attend the course.

(1) The "QUESTIONNAIRE" TEST consists of a set of questions about the topics discussed during the course and it is drawn up accordingly to the instruction described in the web-pages of each course. Generally, given N topics discussed during the course, the teaching staff defines 10xN questions and, before the end of the course, that set is published on the web-site. After that, the student who chooses this exam modality has to send and e-mail to the teacher of the course with M=5 questions (MxN=5xN questions) for each group at least 7 days before the date of the test. Accordingly, the teacher will select P=2 questions for each of the N groups, from this subset (PxN=2xN questions in total).
