Summary: 

Starting from the knowledge gained in the basic courses of Electromagnetic Fields and Antennas, the Mobile Communications course provides the basic principles of the techiques used for the analysis, design and measurement of single antennas and arrays, with particular reference to their use in the field of mobile communications. The lessons involve the analysis and design of simple radiating structures (based on the microstrip technology) also through the exploitation of widely adopted softwares, as well as synthesis of wideband and narrowband arrays. The course is completed by a series of experimental activities concerning the characterization and measurement of radiating structures. During the course a set of seminars covering the state of the art and the latest trends in design and measurement of antenna systems in communications will be offered.
