SOFTWARE

The ELEDIA Research Center has three sofware laboratories: 

  • Wireless technologies and devices;
  • Software implementation for wireless systems;
  • Antenna design for satellite and terrestrial applications;
 

All these laboratories are composed by:

 
  • More than 60 Dual Core PCs (Linux, Windows);
  • 20 PC-based Cluster;
  • 1 Super-PC for Parallel Computing;
  • Data Center for large cluster computing.


HARDWARE

The ELEDIA Research Center has three hardware laboratories:

  • Wireless implementations and hardware facilities;
  • Microwave prototype manufacturing;
  • Smart systems for home automation.


Two new laboratories are currently under completion:

 
  • Antenna prototype manufacturing;
  • Electomagnetic Compatibility (EMC): Anechoic Chamber.

Now the ELEDIA Research Center has also an Electomagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratory at Genova (Italy) with a Shielded Semi/Anechoic Chamber:

  • Size: 9x6x6 m;
  • Door: 2x2 m;
  • Rotating turn table: 2m;
  • Compliant with NSA (Normalized Site Attenuation) and field uniformity requirements given by EMC European standards.
 

This Anechoic Chamber is equipped with RF and microwave instruments for characterization of electromagnetic devices (antennas, RF/microwave circuits, etc.), by making the following tests:

 
  • Radiated emission;
  • Conducted emission;
  • Radiated power;
  • Flicker emission;
  • Harmonic emission;
  • Immunity to radiated electromagnetic fields;
  • Immunity to conducted radio frequency;
  • Immunity to surge Immunity to burst;
  • Immunity to ESD;
  • Immunity to magnetic fields;
  • Immunity to pulsed magnetic fields;
  • Immunity to voltage dips and short interruption.
